Back Pain and Neck Pain

As an orthopaedic surgeon, I frequently see patients of all ages suffering from ๐๐€๐‚๐Š ๐๐€๐ˆ๐ and ๐๐„๐‚๐Š ๐๐€๐ˆ๐.

While there are many treatments available for these conditions, prevention is always the best medicine. In this post, I would like to share some tips on how to prevent back pain and neck pain.

๐Œ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž: Poor posture can put unnecessary stress on your spine, leading to back pain and neck pain. Try to maintain good posture throughout the day, whether you’re sitting, standing or walking. Keep your shoulders back, your chest out, and your head up.

๐„๐ฑ๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฒ: Regular exercise can help strengthen your muscles and improve your overall posture. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise, such as walking, jogging or cycling, most days of the week.

๐€๐ฏ๐จ๐ข๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ : Sitting for long periods of time can lead to back pain and neck pain. Try to get up and move around every 30 minutes or so, even if it’s just to stretch or walk around.
